Radio Canada International found the Singh family through the Canadian Immigration Integration Project, which was launched last year. Here is a bit more information about it.

The Canadian Immigration Integration Project (CIIP) is a pilot initiative managed by the Association of Canadian Community Colleges and funded by Human Resources and Social Development Canada.Through overseas offices, CIIP is helping those immigrating to Canada under the Federal Skilled Workers Program in China, India and the Philippines. As they are completing final immigration requirements, principal applicants and their partners are being offered information, planning guidance and practical help to prepare for successful labour market integration in Canada. Through the project, immigrants are immediately able to connect with a network of Canadian partner organizations, who can assist them further while they are still overseas and following their arrival.
